Swimming & BBQ's

I love memorial day....maybe because I know that Summer has finally arrived (maybe)! This past weekend we didn't go anywhere fun, but we stayed home and worked on the yard! YUCK!! We are finally getting the backyard to how we want it, and getting a cement pad poured in the back and new cement in the front and down the side of the house! YEAH! It will be nice! Besides all the piece of crap yard work we did, we did manage to have some fun. We headed to my parents for some swimming and a yummy BBQ for lunch

Then we headed to Kurt's parents for a yummy BBQ for dinner, dutch oven style. Russ got out the bouncy thing and the kids absolutely loved it! Ethan was afraid at first but after being thrown on it a couple of times he wouldn't get off. Of course us girls sat and relaxed while the boys were throwing the kids.

We ended the day by doing some more yard work before it got dark! A big thanks to Trevor, Travis, Russ, and Lynette for showing up and loading the literally 8,000 pounds of concrete!! Yes that's how much it weighed!! Hopefully we will be done working on it in the next couple of weeks, just in time to enjoy it for the rest of the summer!

And I had to add this picture cause I thought it was so cute of Ethan. Him and his little patch! Even though there are times I want to scream and not hear the word "Mommy" one more time, I sure do love him and his crazy personality which keeps me laughing!

Wow Ethan looks so much older. It was hard to recognize him. But he's still a cutie!

I am glad you had a fun and hard memorial. All that slave labor you performed will be worth it next summer when you get to enjoy the cement and the yard that you worked so hard on this year. Cute pictures of you and Ethan.

Darn those holiday projects! But that will be so nice when it's all done; and HELLO! We totally could have come and helped out too :) Looks like a pretty fun weekend... minus the slave-labor part!

I can't believe how big Ethan is starting to look. He doesn't have much of that baby look anymore. What a cutie!!
