Ethan's New Obsession...

You know that feeling you get when it's really quiet in the house? You wonder what you are going to find? Well a couple of days ago I found Ethan eating the dog food. By the time I found what he was doing, he had a mouthful! Luckily for me he was trying to spit it out! Apparently he didn't find the taste too appealing. Then just the other day instead of eating the dog food, he decided to put one pebble in at a time and play with it in the water. I knew it would happen one day, but now Ethan has officially eaten dog food! He's got an obsession with Kya's food and water.

On the other hand, Ethan loves Kya. She's a great dog and she lets him do anything to her. He loves to play with her, lay on her, and yell, "hi!" to her every morning. I was never big on dogs, but i have to say it's been fun watching Ethan get all excited over her!! Plus she's been a great dog!

Back in the U.S. of A.

Kurt's twin brothers Trevor & Travis returned home from their missions last night! Trevor served in Paris, France and Travis served in Barcelona, Spain. Two years sure goes by quick! They came home to a brand new family....five new nieces and nephews. Mindy and Landon were able to adopt three cute kids shortly after they left, Kurt and I had Ethan, and Brandon and Kellie just had Bennett a month ago. So much changes so quickly!! We are so excited they are home!

Swimming at Grandma & Grandpa's

We finally had some sort of heat! This year has been awful as far as weather! Anyways my mom and dad have the pool up and running so we've been taking advantage. Today me, my sister, and sister-in-law took all the kids (except for Paige & Ellie) over for a swim!! I love the summer!! Ethan wasn't so sure at first, but then loved it! We are hoping he will love the water since dad is a die hard boater!

New Tricks

Why is it that men can't teach kids normal things!? Instead of teaching Ethan something cute or useful, here is what Kurt teaches him... along with yelling at the top of his lungs!! At least he teaches him something! Got to love them!

Bike Ride

We bought this little buggy last fall and we were finally able to bust it out this week. The first night we went for a bike ride Ethan wasn't so sure. We had the front part over him and he wasn't liking that so much. As soon as we took that off and he realized he could stick his hands out in the air, he loved it. This was our bike ride last night! Looks like there might be many more!

Happy Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day! It seems like yesterday when we brought Ethan home from the hospital. Kurt was so sweet and took care of everything with Ethan today! So it was a nice relaxing day. We also got to talk to Kurt's twin brothers who are serving missions and are coming home in two weeks! Yeah!

Both Kurt and I have such awesome moms. Neither of us could have asked for a better mom to raise us to be who we are today! So to both our moms...Happy Mother's Day! We love you!

The Big Project

Kurt has been bugging me lately (ok he's been bugging me for about a year now) to get the basement finished. I finally caved and we decided to just get it done. Now that it's started I'm counting down the days until it's finished! Here are some pictures of it all framed. I can't believe how different it already looks! I'll post more pictures as we get to different stages of getting it done!

Picture Fun

I didn't realize how much "fun" it is to get pictures taken of your kids. My first experience was last mothers day with my sister and sister-in-law. We took all six grandkids and went to Kiddie Kandids to get pictures taken for my mom. I basically stood there in awe as my sister-in-law danced with a flower and a duck, my sister squirted water into my nephews mouth, and having my neice almost drop Ethan a couple of times. I have never laughed so hard or seen people sweat so much just trying to get pictures.

I finally experienced it on my own when Ethan was three months and i was doing everything i could to make him smile. I think there was sweat dripping off of me. Needless to say this time was painless, he was great, and we were in and out in about thirty minutes.

Our 2008 so far....

Hawaii
We just got back from a week vacation in Hawaii with my family. We are lucky enough to go every year with my family since mom and dad own a time share. We stay in Ko'Olina at the Marriott resort! It's so much fun and something we look forward to every year. Here are a few pictures our vacation!!

Happy Birthday Ethan!!!
Ethan turned one on March 29th!! Time flies way too fast! We had family over for pizza and cake! It was tons of fun, and ethan had lots of fun with all the attention on him. I've become a digital scrapbooking addict, (for those of you who still do paper scrapping....you need to try the digital...it's awesome) anyways we took lots of pictures, so instead of posting a ton, here are two of my scrapbook pages of his b-dayThe cake was the best part of the whole day!

Here it goes!!

Ok so i've been nagged by lots of people to get going on a blog! (ok mainly my sister). I don't really have any clue what i'm doing, but here goes nothing! Soon i'm going to figure out how to do all the cute layout stuff people do, but for now here is a picture of our family!
