Happy Halloween!

Well the pirate and I were off at about 6:00 to get lots of candy and leave Kurt all alone to pass out candy. I wasn't sure if Ethan would grasp the concept but as soon as he realized that candy got put in his ELMO bucket, he was in his glory. Every house he got more excited and would yell "next house" and off he went. By the time we were done with the houses we hit we had to bribe him with eating his sucker to actually come in. I guess Halloween was officially a hit with Ethan.

A Pirate....A Witch...&....I'm not sure!

Thursday night was the ward annual Halloween party! We decided to be more festive since we were pretty lame in our last attire. We borrowed a few things and put together some costumes. So here is our new family....

Don't worry...."Wild Hogs" producer called after seeing Kurt dressed like this and he will be cast in "Wild Hogs 2" as the special friend!

PaRtY

Our cute neighbors The Walter's had everyone over for a big Halloween Party! The decorations were killer! Janai had it all decked out from weird body parts in dishes to pictures of all the evil scary dudes! I wish I was as creative. It's always a blast to get together with the neighborhood crew and party!!

Yes we are kind of lame when it comes to costumes! However we are a house divided! I am a true blue fan while Kurt bleeds red! After the TCU game I think I might have to switch....ok maybe not, but if Max Hall fumbles one more time then I'm really considering!

Fountain Green Baby

Every year our friends the Jacobson's plan a trip down to their cabin...and in the last three trips we've been able to make it only once....now we can make it two! We went down to Fountain Green to stay at their cabin with the Woolstenhulme's, Hess's, and Coon's. It was tons of fun just hanging out and getting to talk to each other.

There was lots of four wheeling between Ethan and Kurt.
Some major gun shooting. I finally shot a hand gun and some other gun that hurt like heck. I've only ever shot a .22 and a shot gun, so it was fun to shoot more.

First let me just say that I look like white trash since I had just been running and second off I love to shoot shotguns. Most people don't know this fact about me and I usually kick Kurt's trash at shooting clay pigeons. Here is me, Kurt, and Blaine in a round of "Around the World" where on the first five shots....they never even got to shoot! Go ME!!!
A four wheeling ride out to this amazing waterfall in the middle of no where. It poured rain and HAILED on us on the way home! Not so fun getting pelted with hail while riding. So much for not getting wet!!

Thanks again to Sha and Blaine for the invite. We had so much fun!!

Thriller!!

I honestly can't get enough of Thriller. It's been two years since we've went an I'm so happy we did it this year. Maybe I enjoy it because of my dancing past, but part of me gets so wrapped up in Halloween and all the fun things going on. This year we went with Kurt's sister and brother and their spouses . It was so much to go out with them since we've never just been out with us three couples. We hit up Red Robin for dinner and then headed over to Kingsbury Hall for a night of TERROR!! Kurt and I being the rebels that we are stayed out and hit Leatherby's, just the two of us, to indulge in a huge Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream after the show. I wanted to capture the moment of the two of us, but Kurt as usual refused pictures. LAMO!I mean where is the excitement!! Is it me or do all guys hate pictures?

The Tradition: Pumpkin Patch

What would Halloween be without visiting a Pumpkin Patch!? I guess this is really only the second year we've went, but hey we can call it tradition right? Ethan had a lot of fun this year running off trying to pick out, or more like find a pumpkin he could carry himself.

Now we can take them home and carve them!

Correction: KURT can carve them, I gave up years ago. Way too frustrating!!!

The Witches

I think that everyone that lives around West Jordan usually makes it tradition to visit the witches at Gardner Village. This year was no exception. On Friday night we headed over with the Coon's and the Reeves' for some witch huntin! Mostly it was all the kids running around checking things out while we followed.
The "Are we done, haven't I given you enough CHEESE for the camera" look! I think this picture is a classic.
Apparently the stuffed witches were a little much, and he didn't want much to do with sitting by them. He was great if there was a fence around them or if someone else was sitting by the witches. Who really needs witches when you can run around with all of your buddies.

The highlight for Ethan was definitely the pony rides. He didn't want off and asked if he could do "anoder (another) ride."

I think we might have to take one more trip back in the day to see more and for that pony ride I promised. There is just something about fall that I love!! I love Halloween and enjoy being out seeing all the festives that are going on.
