Fun Memories...

Okay, so I saw this on Nikki's blog and I really liked it! So here's how this works:

The Memory Post

1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember! If we're only blogging friends, write about a post that is the most memorable for you.

2. Next, if you feel so inclined, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll be sure to write one about you...!

3. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. ☺ And please do this on your page, too, so we can all share in the fun times together. :)

Kara~ One of my first memories of you was over ten years ago...when my nerdy brother(jk kurt) came home with this really cute friend named Kara. I thought you were so adorbale and that he was very lucky to have such a great friend. Who would have known that you two would have ended up as eternal companions. I am so lucky to have you as my "sister". You are such a great asset to our family! I love you. Mindy

Where to start....my brain is hurting trying to think of which memory to share.
I'll go with my first...I remember you lying in your crib in mom & dads bedroom, only a few days old. I would sneak in with Phil to just stare at you, so beautiful with all your black hair & a pink bow. Phil & I would look at each other and say 'she's so precious', which we then nick-named you for the next year or so. After we figured out you pooped a lot, we changed your name to 'poo pa', don't know why, we just liked it. I was so excited to have a baby sister, & my life has only been blessed all the more because of you in it! And of course, you are still as beautiful & precious now....and my guess is, you still poop a lot too! Love you!

Kara!! This is Melinda Anderson (Luthi) :) So...I totally didn't know that you and Nikki were such good friends!! I hope you don't mind that I found your blog!! I was just reading hers today and saw a comment from someone I didn't know and I am kind of a stalker when it comes to blogs lately!! LOL!! So, anyway you are darling and so is your cute little family!! When I think of memories of you I think way back to Dance Company and the fun we had during rehearsals for concert (I am specifically thinking of a funny picture I sent to Clifton while he was on his mission with our hair in piggy tails!) You were always so bubbly and fun to be around!! My blog is private (my husband is weird about it) but if you would like to look at it email me at anderson0807@gmail.com and I will send you an invite!! So fun to see you again and your cute little boy (he and my daughter are really close in age!!) FUN!! Talk to you later!

Kara, there are so many to chose from so I will go with a few. I love the weekends when we automatically know it is Cafe Rio night, movie night at your house, nights in our backyards where we just hang out, but most of all in my mind right now is our stupid basements. Thanks for all the work you two have brought upon us. What awesome memories, although I can't wait for them to be over jk. Thanks for all that you do. You really are a great friend.

Seriously just ONE? Let's see, I'm going to list a few. Taking our guitars to midway and praticing them thinkking we were seriously going to figure it out and be awesome at it ("oh when the saints...go marching in...). The golf cart in Midway, trying to get our locker shut in ninth grade gym class (only to eventually break it), EFY ("If you see John..."), vegas and riding the freakin big shot (I'm surprised I didn't pee my pants). THE CRUISE! (Thank you Phil for being on a mission so I could take your place), making cookies every sunday, eating peanut butter m&m's and raw cookie dough, St. George trips, Kara setting off the house alarm one morning after I'd slept over, singing 'called to serve' in the middle of the night etc. etc. etc. Man we are DORKS but I love you Kara!

One of my favorite memories was at your house it was either an end of school year party or your birthday party and we all went swimming and you could not stop laughing. You have one of the cutest laughs i have ever heard when you get going! it was infectious and we all went crazy.

My favorite memory of you is how we could go on and on talking. There was always something to say. I would either call you on the phone or run over to your house and my husband would say "between the two of you, I don't think there is enough oxygen in the room!"

Remember when we took my old green boat to echo reservoir and you couldn't dump me off the tube? That was awesome. And then we stopped to eat on the way home and the ketchup was really gross and you almost threw a fit? Good times.

Oh my Kara, I basically raised you! from the time Phil prayed for a dog, and when your Mom went into labor with you, I was there. Your career as an actress, and model, boy was I proud. I took you everywhere. Remember riding in the back of my car, and farting in the cop car? I was there at all your dance performances, and induction ceremony...thanks for inviting me! Calling me when you were going 90 on the freeway, so I could drop the bomb on your Mom, calm her down, and remind her it could of been worse!!! All the trips. And of course when you told us you loved Kurt at The training table. Ha ha. Seeing Ethan for the first time. Wow I didn't think any baby could be as beautiful as you. Sharing your ups and downs, as you have become an incredible Mother and Wife. Looking forward to more...love you
