Dr. Seuss PARTY!

Today we celebrated Ethan's 5th birthday! (His birthday isn't until the 29th, but today worked better for a party). The birthday boy informed me that he wanted a Cat in the Hat party, so I started planning.
We had some "Pop"corn from "Hop on Pop"
And fishes from "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish"
We played Musical Hats, Pin the Hat on the Cat.....
We opened presents....
We ate cupcakes (I can't help but laugh at the effort going in to blowing out his candles).
And last of all we read "Fox in Socks" and then decorated socks to take home with their own book.
I can't believe my sweet, mischievous, crazy, funny, dramatic, kind, loving little boy is going to be five! Oh how I love him!!

The Remodel: Before & After

Last summer we decided to remodel our kitchen. We put in granite and got new appliances. That remodel turned into some major redecorating of a few rooms in my house. I had almost all the furniture it was just all the accessories that added to it. Thanks to my friend Jocelyn who helped me accessorize and decorate. Now that it's all complete and I've finally taken time to take pictures...here they are:

I love how everything turned out and it's all pulling together! I learned a lot too! Now...what's my next project!?

Happy St. Patty's Day

We started our celebrations of St. Patrick's Day yesterday with the annual neighborhood hunt. We only had one melt down because Ethan "just can't run as fast as everyone else," one little girl fall, one little girl get stuck on the fence, and one little boy run into a pole, and almost all incidents were rescued by our seven month pregnant friend running to get them...(I think she was trying to induce labor). We ended in the park where two huge pots were filled with prizes and candy for all the kids! That Leprechaun was pretty dang nice.
Then this morning the crazy red haired Irish man colored some of our milk green (which I was later told didn't taste good. Hmmm), some "LUCKY" Charms for breakfast, a game, and some cute green shamrock pj's!
I'd say the kids scored pretty good on this day!

Wedding!

On Friday Kurt's brother Trevor got married. We love his beautiful new bride, Chelsie, and her little boy Jett. We couldn't be happier for the two of them. They had a beautiful ceremony in the Salt Lake Temple on Friday morning, followed by some FREEZING cold pictures.
They ended the night with a reception at the Gather Place. Lynette made these cute dresses for the girls and all the ties for the little boys.
Does this not say attitude or what. She would not smile...and she did not want to wear her cute white bolero.

February Catch Up

I thought I would do a little re-cap of our February. I sucked at blogging last month, so here are a few things that we did.

We sold our Bayliner and bought this beauty, a 2006 Moomba Mobius! We are super excited since it will seat 13 and not 7. Now if summer would just come so we could get out on the lake.
We went to another Jazz game. This time against the Spurs and we LOST! Boo!
Had sleepovers with cousins.
Made these drapes for my office remodel...which isn't finished yet. Thank you Pintrest
And went to The Aquarium for an afternoon! It was a cute little place. I've never been and the kids were totally entertained.
