Summer Fun

Oh I love the summer! Here is what we've been up to the past couple of days. We can't get enough of the sun!

Flying dads new airplane....

...Finally getting Grandma and Grandpa's pool up and running!! After lots of ordeals, we can now enjoy it for the rest of the summer! The kids were in heaven! Here we come pool...you are my best friend in the summer. With this heat and an oven cooking inside of me, I think we will be here frequently.

...and lounging in the backyard. Ethan played in his new pool for three hours and still didn't want to get out. Me...well I enjoyed a good book and soaked up some rays!

Happy Father's Day

Father's day always makes you step back and really realize how important each and every dad is. I hope that my hubby had a good Father's Day. It started out by letting him some what sleep in. Church at nine doesn't give you much time to sleep in, but at least it was more then on a normal day. We made him breakfast and let him open his card. Ethan continually told him Happy Father's Day and even made him something cute in nursery...which he Ethan kept for himself. I felt bad that there wasn't a special surprise for him to open, but he got his Father's Day gift a few weeks ago...this new BBQ, so we enjoyed some yummy burgers last night. I love you babe and appreciate all that you do for our little family! You are an amazing hubby and dad!! Ethan idolizes you and can't wait for you to get home every day. Thank you for being so wonderful!
It wouldn't be right if I didn't tell my dad how much I love him and wish him a Happy Father's Day all the way in Japan. Thanks dad for being the best example, friend, and dad anyone could ask for. You are an amazing person who I always look up to! I love you!

And to my wonder father in law Russ, thank you for all that you do!! You are an amazing example, friend, and great grandpa to Ethan. Thank you for all that you do. I love you!

Seven Peaks

Monday I ventured with my sis down to Seven Peaks. I've never been, so I thought it would be a fun day. It was a cute little water park, and even better that Ethan was free and I had a free admission coupon. At first, as always, Ethan was hesitant but after taking him down some of slides on my lap, he was giggling and begging to go on more. I love days like these where you have something planned and your little guy LOVES it! To more hot summer days..can't wait!
and this is what an exhausted 3 year old looks like on the ride home. He didn't even make it out of the parking lot!

The Green Machine

In the last couple of weeks Ethan has seen all the boys out riding their bikes. He tells them to wait for him as he grabs his small Lightning McQueen bike and in his mind thinks some how he is going to ride with them. Kurt and I have been telling him that if he learns to pedal we could go get him a big boy bike. So Friday after a boring time with mom and dad at the mall, we promised him we would go look at bikes. So off we headed to Toys R Us where nothing was working for him. He was way more interested in all the battery powered cars, and told us his famous line "I NEVER can do it!" (The word never is used in every sentence and I've even threatened to put soap in his mouth for it....that's how sick of the word I am!) Anyways as Kurt and I were trying to get different bikes down for him he jumped on some little trike and started cruising around the store. So with all doubt of him not being able to pedal gone...we finally got the right bike down. He jumped down and off he went. It's funny how things just click...maybe it's the magic green machine that taught him how. So here's his new toy...the only toy he wants to play with right now.

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend was great! Seemed like the weekend flew by...and now it's back to another week. Saturday we spent almost all day working on our master bedroom. We still have some painting and some touch ups before I post pictures. I'm just finally excited to like my master bedroom. So pictures to come in a week or two when it's all put together.

Monday was a great day. It started off bright and early as we headed to East Canyon. Kurt's family had been up there camping over the weekend and we were headed up there to meet up with them. It was the first time pulling the boat out for this summer. I'm already a little bummed that I can't get out on the wakeboard or tubes since this little basketball keeps on growing...and of course for her safety. Ethan was so excited to finally go boating and Kurt and Brandon braved the freezing cold water to do some boarding and the air chair. I didn't catch any pictures of Kurt since I was driving, but I got some of Brandon catching air on the chair. We also enjoyed lounging, playing at the park, four wheeler rides, and of course some outlet shopping. Finally it seems like summer might be just around the corner.
